Steubenville police arrested Joseph Mitchell, 30, after he violated a protection order by being found at a woman's home where he was barred from entering. The police arrived in response to a 9-1-1 hangup call and found an argument that had turned physical. The woman involved reported some physical contact but did not express concern. In a separate incident, a resident discovered three punctured tires on his vehicle after a dispute with a neighbor over driveway access. Police intervened in a physical altercation between two mothers regarding their children, but neither wanted to pursue charges.

Officers also assisted a city resident who appeared distressed and arranged for mental health support. During a traffic stop, Ashley Berger, 41, was charged with drug paraphernalia possession, while her passenger faced a warrant for failing to appear in court. These incidents highlight ongoing community tensions and the police's active role in addressing local issues.

Weirton man sentenced in sexual abuse case
