This staggering figure includes various expenses, such as $196,399 spent on cigarettes, $221,788 in healthcare costs, and a loss of $732,812 in potential earnings due to smoking-related health issues. The annual cost of smoking for Washington residents is approximately $94,644, shedding light on the financial burden faced by smokers. Despite a general decline in smoking rates, it remains a significant public health concern, accounting for nearly 490,000 deaths annually in the U.
