Deadline coming for grant applications
The City of Puyallup has opened applications for its 2026 Lodging Tax Funding and Community Funding Grant programs, with a submission deadline set for July 15. For the Lodging Tax funding, $713,390 is available, and applicants must estimate how their funding will boost travel for business or leisure. Fund recipients are obligated to report on the number of travelers influenced by their spending. The city has also allocated $180,000 from the General Fund for community grants, targeting social service agencies and nonprofits. A three-member Community Grants Committee, composed of City Council members, will evaluate applications and make funding recommendations.
The City Council will make final funding decisions based on projected revenues and expenditures. Organizations receiving funding must provide receipts and reports detailing how the funds were utilized and their impact. Additional information is accessible via the City of Puyallup's website.
