Tacoma Mall is gearing up for a transformative renovation set to commence in spring next year, aiming to improve the overall shopping experience for visitors. Planned multimillion-dollar upgrades include redesigned entrances, a modernized food court with community tables and new seating, and a refurbished children's play area. More than 100,000 square feet of new flooring and lighting will be introduced, contributing to a lighter and brighter atmosphere throughout the mall. The new 'Village' addition will introduce renowned dining options, including Shake Shack and Dave’s Hot Chicken, slated to open late next year. Recent permit filings indicate the installation of solar panels on the new buildings, highlighting a commitment to sustainability in the mall's redevelopment.

These upgrades follow previous enhancements that introduced new retail spaces, further enriching the shopping landscape. Kelly Hartsell, Simon's regional vice president, expressed pride in the strategic investments aimed at meeting evolving shopper needs.
