Lane Closures Coming to SR 203 South of Carnation April 1418 for Bridge Work

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

From April 14 to April 18, State Route 203 will be reduced to one lane daily between 9 a. m. and 3 p. m. , causing potential delays for local drivers.

This lane reduction is part of a project managed by the Washington State Department of Transportation, aimed at enhancing pedestrian safety on a newly constructed bridge. Opened to traffic in January 2025, the bridge features a design that allows for fish passage, aligning with environmental stewardship efforts in the region. The installation of a pedestrian railing is a critical component of this enhancement project. Following the installation, additional construction will take place beneath the bridge during the summer months to complete the overall project. Drivers are advised to stay informed about travel conditions by accessing the WSDOT mobile app or the Travel Center Map.

Moreover, signing up for email updates from WSDOT can help commuters navigate potential delays effectively. This proactive communication underscores the department's commitment to maintaining traffic flow while ensuring public safety.
