Snoqualmie Days Festival Returns to Celebrate Community and Culture

The community of Snoqualmie, Washington, is preparing for the return of the Snoqualmie Days festival, a celebration of the town's history, people, and culture, on August 16 and 17, 2024. The event begins on Friday evening with a Music Crawl, featuring live performances at various venues including the Black Dog Café, Snoqualmie Falls Brewery, The Bindlestick, and Snoqualmie Eagles Club. On Saturday, festivities kick off with a pancake breakfast and silent auction hosted by Snoqualmie Firefighters at the Snoqualmie Fire Station. This is followed by the annual Snoqualmie Days Grand Parade in downtown Snoqualmie. The rest of the day is filled with community activities such as live music, food stalls, local vendors, history activities, and a Kids Field of Fun.

There will also be a model railroad exhibit, train rides, and a Lego display. Railroad Ave/SR 202 will be closed from SE Fir St to SE Newton Street on Saturday from approximately 6 am to 11 pm to accommodate the event. More information is available at www. snoqualmiedays. org.

Seattle starts the federal process to renew its license for the South Fork Tolt Hydroelectric Project, inviting public participation in listening sessions this fall. The project, which generates 16.8 megawatts of electricity, supports the city’s renewable energy goals and serves about 1.6 million residents. The relicensing process will involve collaboration with various stakeholders, with a formal application due by July 2027.
