Free summer meals for kids and teens ages 18 and under

Shoreline, WALocal News

Shoreline School District provides free meals for children and teens aged 18 and under from June 30 to August 29, 2025. The program requires no registration, allowing all eligible youth to access meals without barriers. Participating locations include Ballinger Homes and the Dale Turner YMCA, with varied service hours. Echo Lake Elementary offers breakfast and lunch on specific days, while Shoreline Library and Viv Apartments also serve meals during weekdays. Meals must be consumed on-site at certain locations, ensuring that children eat in a supervised environment.

Notably, there will be no meal service on July 4th, which aligns with holiday closures. This program seeks to combat food insecurity and ensure that youth have access to nutritious meals during the summer. It reflects a community commitment to supporting families in need during the school break.
