Shoreline, WALocal News

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) warns travelers of anticipated snow and freezing rain impacting several mountain passes from Tuesday to Thursday. Major routes affected include I-90, US 2, US 12, US 97, and SR 20. WSDOT encourages drivers to check mountain pass reports and winter weather safety tips to navigate conditions safely. The forecast suggests the possibility of road closures, similar to previous incidents at Snoqualmie Pass due to hazardous weather. Officials emphasize that no holiday treat, such as pumpkin pie, is worth risking an accident.

Travelers should remain vigilant and prioritize safety during their journeys. Winter weather poses significant challenges for Thanksgiving travel, making preparedness essential. As conditions evolve, WSDOT will continue to update travelers on road statuses.
