Shoreline, WALocal News

Shoreline College will host a free yoga class on June 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM to honor the International Day of Yoga. The event will be held in the Main Dining Room of the PUB building, with new yoga mats provided for each registered participant. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own water bottles and must RSVP as space is limited. The International Day of Yoga, recognized by the United Nations, aims to promote global health and peace through yoga practices. Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed this day in his 2014 UN address, emphasizing the significance of yoga in fostering harmony.

The first observance in 2015 gathered 35,985 participants in a record-breaking yoga session in New Delhi. This year's event at Shoreline College invites locals to engage in a beneficial practice that enhances well-being and community connection. Celebrating yoga on the longest day of the year symbolizes the light and positivity it brings to participants worldwide.
