Northwest Neighbors Network celebrates members and volunteers

Shoreline, WALocal News

The Northwest Neighbors Network (NNN) hosted its annual Member and Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on June 7, 2025, at Crista Senior Living in Shoreline, uniting 100 members and volunteers. Attendees enjoyed a full-course meal featuring salmon, chicken, and blueberry cheesecake. A key moment included a proclamation read by NNN Board President Mahyar Rahbarrad, which declared June 7 as Northwest Neighbors Network Day, as announced by Mayor Mike Rosen. NNN aims to foster connections and empower seniors and adults with disabilities to thrive in their homes and communities. Rahbarrad highlighted that many volunteers are seniors, who find meaning and friendship through their service, reinforcing the strength of the network.

The organization provides social events and educational opportunities to support independent living. NNN actively seeks volunteers aged 18 and older for various tasks, including transportation and technology assistance. This initiative enhances community engagement and support for vulnerable populations.
