Shoreline City Hall hosted its 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration, which celebrated community and collective action. The event marked the end of slavery in the United States and featured a range of activities, including music, art, and food. Dr. David Bowman urged participants to take action beyond social media to foster justice. Sheriff Patti Cole-Tindall shared her father's journey from segregated Alabama, highlighting the progress made in her own life.

The celebration showcased performances by the Shoreline Community College Black Student Union and a DJ, creating an energetic atmosphere. Children participated in chalk drawing activities, embodying the spirit of community. The Black Business Marketplace provided delicious food from local vendors, emphasizing support for black-owned businesses. This celebration not only commemorated a significant historical event but also reinforced the community's dedication to ongoing social justice efforts.
