P.E.O. honors Shorecrest senior

Cambria Metcalf-Lindenburger, a graduating senior at Shorecrest High School, has been awarded a STAR scholarship from P. E. O. , an international organization committed to advancing women's education. The STAR scholarship honors graduating high school women who excel in leadership, community service, and academics while planning to pursue post-secondary education.

At the Shorecrest Track Awards Banquet on May 28, 2025, she received this distinction from Karen Dixon, President of P. E. O. Chapter AO. In addition to the STAR scholarship, Metcalf-Lindenburger was presented with a local scholarship funded by a bequest from Dorothy Bostrom, a deceased member of the chapter.

This dual recognition emphasizes the significant support provided by local organizations to empower young women in their educational journeys. Metcalf-Lindenburger's accomplishments reflect the growing focus on fostering leadership and academic success among female students.
