Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in Shoreline for the national “No Kings” rally, which started shortly after 1 p. m. The protests aimed to challenge a military parade in Washington, D. C. , staged for President Trump’s birthday and the U.

S. Army's 250th anniversary. Many participants condemned the parade as a display echoing authoritarian regimes. The Shoreline rally, organized by Everyday Activists with assistance from Indivisible Shoreline, fostered a peaceful ambiance, with organizers urging participants to remain calm and non-confrontational. Protestors created a vibrant scene with signs and chants, receiving honks of support from passing drivers.

This rally is part of the 50501 Movement, a grassroots initiative promoting democratic values across the country. The movement emphasizes the importance of collective action to resist authoritarianism. Participants expressed their commitment to democracy, highlighting the need for vigilance against the consolidation of power.
