Shoreline Farmers Market Kicks Off 14th Season with Pride, Produce, and Community Power

Shoreline, WALocal News

The Shoreline Farmers Market will open its 14th season on June 7, 2025, at the Shoreline Park & Ride, operating every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM until October 25. This season is notable for extending its operations to all Saturdays in October for the first time. As a member of the Washington State Farmers Market Association, the market prioritizes local farmers, offering a diverse range of Washington-grown produce and artisan products. Special events, including the 3rd Annual Pride at the Market, will celebrate LGBTQIA+ inclusion with themed programming and activities every Saturday in June. Executive Director Trinitee King emphasized the market's role as a community gathering place, fostering connections among residents.

The market also aims to improve food access through programs like EBT/SNAP and a Senior Food Delivery initiative. This initiative, funded by community donations, provides curated bags of produce to income-eligible seniors. The return of the Power of Produce Kids Club will engage children with hands-on activities while encouraging healthy eating.
