Edmonds Food Bank partners joins LEVL and Edmonds Waterfront Center for Juneteenth

Edmonds Food Bank will join Lift Every Voice Legacy and the Edmonds Waterfront Center for the 2025 Juneteenth at the Beach event, taking place on June 19, 2025, from 11 AM to 2 PM. The celebration will feature live performances, a children’s book reading, and a screening of the critically acclaimed film "Hidden Figures. " A food drive to benefit the Edmonds Food Bank will also be held, with community members encouraged to donate essential items like baking products and canned fruit. Casey Davis, Executive Director of the Edmonds Food Bank, highlighted the significance of community engagement in fostering justice and inclusivity. The food drive will kick off on June 2, allowing attendees to contribute throughout the event.

Juneteenth serves as a reminder of the day when the last enslaved African Americans learned of their freedom in 1865. This partnership aims to uplift voices within the community and address food insecurity among vulnerable populations. The event invites all community members to celebrate and reflect on the values of justice and belonging.
