Alpha Delta Chapter of AK awards five scholarships to future teachers

Five seniors from Shorecrest, Shorewood, and Edmonds-Woodway High Schools received $1,500 scholarships from the Washington State Alpha Delta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa on June 2, 2025. Owen, known for his leadership in school activities, plans to attend Central Washington University to become a secondary marketing and business teacher. Clara, who embraces new challenges, will study at the University of Washington with the goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. Mitchell, a talented volunteer with over 600 hours of service, is heading to Yale University to pursue a career as a professor. Hannah, with a knack for teaching diverse age groups, aims to study history and teach secondary social studies at the University of Washington.

Chloe, enthusiastic about engaging children, will pursue primary education at the University of Arizona. The scholarships highlight the recipients' excellent academics, community involvement, and commitment to future careers in education. This support from Alpha Delta Kappa emphasizes the importance of nurturing future educators in promoting excellence in teaching.
