From 2025 to 2030, major construction projects in North King County and South Snohomish County will significantly impact traffic patterns. Fire Marshall Burgess and Police Chief Mike Harden are proactively addressing concerns related to potential traffic disruptions in residential areas. Projects include the construction of a roundabout and culvert replacement in Lake Forest Park, scheduled for Q3 2025 to Q3 2026, which will restrict neighborhood access and cause delays on Ballinger Way NE. The NE 145th and I-5 interchange roundabout will also begin in Q4 2025, with detours expected to increase residential cut-through traffic. Additional projects will focus on enhancing safety for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians along key routes.

Local authorities are working to inform residents about the timelines and effects of these disruptions. Traffic ripple effects may strain corridors like SR-522/Bothell Way NE and Lake City Way. Residents are urged to stay informed and plan alternative routes to mitigate inconveniences.
