Shorewood Track Field shines at WesCo South Championships

Shorewood Track & Field teams achieved remarkable success at the WesCo South Championships, with the boys' team claiming their third consecutive league title and the girls finishing second. Mila Fotinatos broke her school record in the 400m with a time of 58. 42 seconds, showcasing her talent and determination. Hayes Stetler, Jaden Marlow, and Otto Erhart set new meet records in the 200m, 110m hurdles, and 3200m, respectively, contributing to the teams' overall success. Several athletes earned All WesCo South League honors, with Stetler and Fotinatos leading the 1st Team with multiple event qualifications.

The next competition is the NW District 1 Championships at Shoreline Stadium on May 21 and 23, where the top four in each event will qualify for the State Championships. This level of performance highlights the growth and competitiveness of the Shorewood Track & Field program. Coaches Paul Villanueva and Joel Reese commended the athletes for their hard work and dedication throughout the season. The achievements at the league meet set a positive tone for the upcoming postseason challenges.
