Two Shorecrest students awarded college scholarships

Shorecrest High School students Olive Ziliak and Camron Catt have each received the 2025 S. C. O. T. Scholarship, which provides $10,000 over four years for their college education.

Olive, who has maintained a 3. 9 GPA while participating in the drama program and choir, also served as Assistant Director at Stone Soup Theater in Seattle. Camron, with a 3. 99 GPA, is recognized for their willingness to take on various responsibilities and their commitment to the performing arts. Both students expressed that the scholarship will allow them to focus on their passions while pursuing their degrees.

Olive will attend UW Seattle, while Camron will enroll at Cornish College of the Arts. The award is administered by the Shoreline Public Schools Foundation, funded by an anonymous donor. This year's selection is significant as it marks the first time two recipients have been honored in the same year. The scholarship reflects the community's commitment to supporting local students in their higher education endeavors.
