This Sunday - Protest damage to our economy and people

Shoreline, WALocal News

Everyday Activists will host a sign-waving event on May 11, 2025, from 1 to 2 PM at the intersection of Aurora Ave N and N 205th St, emphasizing the economic damage from President Trump's tariffs. Participants are invited to bring signs or simply attend to show support for vulnerable demographics affected by these policies. The event will also serve as a food drive for the Hopelink food pantry, collecting non-perishable items. A nationwide "day of action" is set for June 14 to protest a military parade planned by the President under the guise of a birthday celebration. Indivisible Shoreline will have a representative present to discuss their mission to mitigate harm from the current administration and advocate for change in the 2026 elections.

The event reflects ongoing local activism and concern over economic impacts on seniors, veterans, and families. Organizers hope to draw attention to policies perceived as harmful and foster community engagement. This gathering highlights the intersection of local activism and national political issues.
