King County Library System launches new Curious Creatures Summer Reading Program on June 7

King County Library System (KCLS) launches the Curious Creatures Summer Reading Program for youth ages 17 and under, running from June 7 to August 31, 2025. Participants can win exciting prizes and receive a welcome kit that includes a free book and a Red Robin coupon. The program encourages readers to set personal goals, with finisher prizes such as Seattle Storm ticket vouchers and tote bags available for those who complete their targets. Additionally, participants can enter a drawing for one of 50 Kobo Clara Color eReaders. KCLS will also host a variety of educational events, including arts and crafts, music programs, and STEM learning opportunities at local libraries.

Registration begins June 7, either online or at local libraries. This initiative promotes literacy and fosters a love for learning among youth in the community. KCLS, founded in 1942, serves approximately 1. 6 million residents across King County.
