A power outage struck Ridgecrest shortly before 10:30 PM on Saturday, May 3, 2025, affecting a significant residential area. City Light anticipates restoring power by midnight Sunday, May 4. The outage primarily impacted NE 163rd from 5th Ave NE to the freeway, extending south to NE 155th. This same area had faced a prolonged outage in January, raising concerns among residents. Officials have not disclosed the cause of the current outage, merely stating they are "investigating.
