Volunteering at the Seattle King County Clinic 2025

Shoreline, WALocal News

The Seattle/King County Clinic, a vital community service, provided free healthcare from April 24-27, 2025, serving over 3,300 patients. Doug Cerretti, a dedicated volunteer at the dental x-ray station, contributed for all four days, emphasizing the clinic's importance in addressing healthcare access issues. More than half of the patients received dental care, underscoring the ongoing demand for such services. Cerretti began volunteering six years ago after hearing about the clinic from his friend Carrie Stewart, who also volunteers. The event, organized by the Seattle Center Foundation, faced interruptions during the pandemic but continued to thrive.

Cerretti appreciated the camaraderie among volunteers, particularly praising Bonnie and Shelly for their organizational efforts. He highlighted the unique experiences and connections formed through volunteering. Cerretti encouraged community members to participate in the next clinic scheduled for April 23-26, 2026, to continue supporting those in need.
