Pack The Park 5K Fun Run - Fighting food insecurity one step at a time

Shoreline, WALocal News

The Pack the Park 5K Fun Run will occur on May 10, 2025, at Pfingst Animal Acres Park in Lake Forest Park. From 9 a. m. to noon, participants can contribute to fighting food insecurity through their registration fees. Proceeds will support the Market Bucks program, which helps food-insecure residents access fresh food, and the Shoreline Schools Angel Fund, which covers negative meal balances for students.

Registration fees are $35 for adults and $20 for students, and each participant will receive a run medal. Following the race, the community can enjoy food, games, and entertainment. This event emphasizes the importance of local initiatives to address hunger in the area. Last year, similar events raised significant funds for local food programs, highlighting the community's commitment to tackling food insecurity. Organizations involved encourage everyone to participate and ensure that no one in the community goes hungry.
