Montessori inspired kids play space and cafe opening in Shoreline in May

Shoreline, WALocal News

Nixi City will open its first location in Shoreline, WA, in May 2025, targeting families with children aged 0-8. Co-founders Dominique Elkind and Giuseppe Mangiacotti identified a lack of kid-friendly neighborhood businesses in the Seattle area. The new facility will feature a play area inspired by Montessori education principles, designed to foster critical thinking and independence among children. Parents can relax in a cafe lounge offering premium coffee, mocktails, and snacks. To celebrate the grand opening, Nixi City will provide discounts on memberships and bulk play passes.

Families can sign up for an email newsletter or follow on social media to stay informed about upcoming events. The play cafe aims to create a welcoming community space where families can connect and create lasting memories. This initiative reflects a growing trend in urban areas to provide dedicated spaces for family engagement and enrichment.
