Urbanist Shoreline Bike Racks for Businesses

Shoreline, WALocal News

Urbanist Shoreline will install inverted U bike racks at five Shoreline businesses this May as part of a city initiative funded by an Environmental Mini-Grant. The program, occurring during Bike Month, encourages local businesses to apply for a free bike rack installation. Interested business owners must submit a quick application by May 7, 2025, and will receive notifications about their application status by May 13. Installations will be completed by the end of May, aiming to enhance cycling infrastructure in the area. This initiative promotes cycling as a sustainable transportation option and aims to attract more customers to local businesses.

The city hopes that by increasing bike parking availability, it will foster a more bike-friendly environment. This aligns with broader efforts to support eco-friendly initiatives and improve local commerce. Such programs can have lasting effects on community engagement and environmental sustainability.
