Womens University Club of Seattle Foundation awards grants to music programs at five Shoreline schools

The Women’s University Club of Seattle Foundation awarded $26,000 to 48 public school music programs, benefiting over 12,000 students in the Shoreline School District. These funds will support essential classroom needs, including sheet music, instrument repairs, and educational materials through the Music Counts! Program. Among the awardees are Shorecrest High School and Einstein Middle School. Sandy Piscitello, a member of the Music Counts!

Committee, expressed her joy in participating, noting, "Music Counts! is the happiest committee I’ve ever been on. " The foundation plans to host a fundraising dinner on May 16, 2025, featuring performances from impressive local high school ensembles. This event aims to raise additional funds for music education in the community. Tickets for the dinner are available for $81.
