Shoreline, WALocal News

Indie Bookstore Day occurs on April 26, 2025, with Third Place Books aiming for record attendance. The American Booksellers Association predicts this year's event will be the biggest in history. In Seattle, 29 bookstores are participating in the Seattle Bookstore Day Passport Challenge, where visitors can collect stamps by visiting each location. Those who visit all 29 stores between April 26 and May 5 will receive a Champion Stamp Card, offering a one-time 25% discount at each participating store. Third Place Books will provide additional activities, including prizes, free books, a scavenger hunt, and a coloring station at its three locations—Lake Forest Park, Ravenna, and Seward Park.

This initiative underscores the significance of local bookstores in fostering community engagement and support for independent retailers. The event encourages exploration of diverse literary offerings within Seattle. By participating, locals can celebrate and promote the unique culture of indie bookstores.
