Shorewood girls tennis secured the WesCo South championship by winning five consecutive league matches, including a dominant 7-0 victory over Archbishop Murphy. Rylie Gettmann and Alex Mignogna remained undefeated in singles, contributing significantly to the team's success. The team faced Seattle Prep in a non-conference match, where they lost 5-2, ending a remarkable 56-match winning streak. Coach Arnie Moreno acknowledged the challenge presented by Seattle Prep, a top Metro 3A league team, and highlighted the team's resilience. Shorewood will honor its seniors, including co-captains Gettmann and Mignogna, during an upcoming home match against Edmonds Woodway.

The team aims to learn from the Seattle Prep loss and improve as they prepare for the WIAA State Tennis Tournament in May. The recent championship marks the fifth consecutive title for Shorewood, solidifying its position in the league. The team's performance reflects a strong commitment to excellence in high school tennis.
