The Lake Forest Park Arbor Day Celebration will occur on April 27, 2025, at Horizon View Park, beginning at 1:00 PM. Attendees can look forward to a preview of a new art installation project funded by the LFP Secret Garden Tour and Plant & Garden Art Sale. At 1:30 PM, the LFP Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will share an update on the development of the new Lakefront Park. Following this, a guided tree walk led by Professor Dick Olmstead will offer insights into the diverse tree species within the community. Limited seating will be available, so participants are encouraged to bring their own blankets or portable chairs for comfort.

This celebration not only highlights Arbor Day but also aims to foster community engagement and appreciation for the urban forest. The event's location at Horizon View Park underscores the importance of green spaces in urban settings. By participating, residents can connect with their neighbors and learn more about the local environment.
