Food Drive at Saturday Rally will help local residents

Shoreline, WALocal News

Everyday Activists is set to launch a food drive on April 19, 2025, coinciding with their National Day of Action/Protest, focused on supporting local residents suffering from food insecurity. This effort will benefit Hopelink, which operates a food store where eligible households can shop for essential items at no cost. To ensure effective donations, community members are urged to check the Hopelink page for a list of most-needed food and non-food items. Donations can be dropped off at the Hands Off Two sign-waving event, scheduled from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the intersection of Aurora Ave N and N 205th St. This initiative not only aims to alleviate immediate hunger but also fosters a sense of community involvement and activism.

Everyday Activists organizers are particularly thankful to member Myrna L. for her inspiration and organization of this vital project. Events like this underscore the importance of local action in addressing critical social issues. By participating, residents can contribute to a collective effort to combat food insecurity in their community.
