ShorelineEdmonds - Activists plan to Keep Pressure on With Saturday Rally

Shoreline, WALocal News

Scheduled for April 19, 2025, the "National Day of Action" will feature a sign-waving event in Shoreline, Washington, aimed at protesting the Trump administration's policies. This grassroots effort follows the April 5th "Hands Off! " rally, which saw thousands mobilized across the nation. Organized by Everyday Activists, the event is a response to attempts to curtail essential rights and dismantle critical services that many Americans rely on. Despite the quick turnaround for organizing, the group hopes to foster community connections and solidarity among attendees.

Sandy Labyris, founder of Everyday Activists, highlighted the agility of smaller groups in launching impactful actions. The event is being promoted under the slogan "50 Protests. 50 States. 1 Movement," aiming to engage participants nationwide. Organizers are urging attendees to bring "plus ones" to enhance visibility and influence.

This local rally not only serves as a protest but also as a means of building a more cohesive community around shared values and goals.
