A Better Day Salon, a beloved fixture in Lake Forest Park for nearly 25 years, is downsizing and relocating to the Upland Center in Kenmore, where they will share space with Gazelle Salon. Owners Janiece Hoggatt and Douglas Carl expressed bittersweet feelings about leaving but emphasized their ongoing connection to the community. Customers can expect the same phone number and staff, including the front desk managed by Emma and stylist Geniia. The salon has a rich history of community service, providing free haircuts to military families and participating in local events like "Back to School. " In addition, Janiece and Douglas have championed environmental initiatives, switching to AVEDA products and supporting local environmental programs through the Rotary Environmental Club.

The move was made memorable by the outpouring of community support, as many helped them pack and relocate. Janiece remarked on the emotional experience, stating, "It was truly moving! " They assure clients that their dedication to service will continue at the new location.
