Dayton sidewalk project public meeting and online open house

Shoreline, WALocal News

The City of Shoreline is set to host a public meeting on May 6, 2025, from 7-8 PM to discuss an essential new sidewalk project on Dayton Avenue N. A presentation will begin at 7:15 PM, allowing residents to engage directly with city planners and share their design preferences. The project aims to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility by constructing a sidewalk on the west side of Dayton Avenue N, spanning from NW Richmond Beach Road to N 178th Court. Key improvements include sidewalks with curbs and gutters, bicycle facilities, and ADA-compliant curb ramps, ensuring that all community members can navigate the area safely. Additionally, new crosswalks and drainage enhancements are planned to improve overall infrastructure.

Community feedback is vital, and those unable to attend the meeting can participate in an online open house running from May 6 to May 20. This initiative reflects the City of Shoreline's commitment to improving local infrastructure and enhancing public safety. For inquiries, residents can contact Project Manager Zahid Khan via email.
