New Art in Lake Forest Park

Shoreline, WALocal News

The Lake Forest Park Secret Gardens Tour has become a cherished community event since its inception in 2003, raising over $135,000 to benefit local organizations and enrich public art. Each year, half of the ticket sales support four local groups, while the other half is dedicated to a public art fund. Notable past installations include a striking metal sculpture at Blue Heron Park and the "5x5" piece commemorating the city's 50th anniversary. This year, a new installation featuring a whimsical two-sided bench will grace Horizon View Park, enhancing both functionality and artistic appeal. During the Arbor Day celebration on April 27, 2025, residents will have a unique opportunity to preview the installation and contribute to its design by adding mosaic tiles.

The Secret Gardens Tour itself will take place on June 14, 2025, showcasing six stunning local gardens. This event not only celebrates the beauty of nature but also fosters community spirit and support for the arts. By participating, attendees can enjoy a magical day while making a lasting impact in their community.
