Stewardship Foundation Community Parks Clean-Up for Earth Day April 19, 2025

Shoreline, WALocal News

The Lake Forest Park Stewardship Foundation is inviting community members to participate in a Parks Clean-Up event on April 19, 2025, from 9 AM to 2 PM at Whispering Willow Park. This initiative is part of Earth Month celebrations, aiming to enhance the local environment and inspire civic engagement. Volunteers will receive trash pickers and bags, but are encouraged to bring their own gloves and dress for the weather. The previous year's event saw 36 participants dedicated to improving local parks by picking up litter and removing invasive species. Providing refreshments, including pastries, adds a welcoming touch to the volunteer experience.

This gathering not only improves the natural surroundings but also fosters a sense of community and shared responsibility. Such initiatives are crucial in promoting awareness about the importance of environmental conservation. By participating, individuals can contribute to a healthier ecosystem and enjoy a fulfilling day of service.
