Shoreline, WALocal News

A winter storm warning has been issued for Shoreline and Lake Forest Park, affecting approximately 3,778 City Light customers who are currently without power. As of 10:40 PM PST, the National Weather Service reported that an additional 3 inches of snow is anticipated overnight, raising concerns about further power outages. The storm is intensified by a cold front moving south through the area, bringing heavy, wet snow and gusty winds reaching up to 45 mph. A Puget Sound Convergence Zone is expected to form, producing localized heavy snowfall as it drifts southward. Residents should be cautious, as conditions may worsen before the storm subsides.

Although a temporary warm-up is expected on Wednesday afternoon, another round of snow showers may arrive later, potentially adding to accumulations. Experts recommend staying informed and prepared for hazardous conditions throughout this winter weather event. Safety measures are crucial as the region braces for a challenging week ahead.
