Updated Residential fire in Ridgecrest Friday

Shoreline, WALocal News

A significant residential fire erupted in Shoreline's Ridgecrest neighborhood on March 7, 2025, after neighbors alerted emergency services to flames visible from the roof. The Shoreline fire department quickly mobilized, launching an aggressive interior attack while a team conducted vertical ventilation from above. Firefighters discovered a propane tank ablaze during their search, which they promptly extinguished to prevent further damage. Thankfully, no one was home at the time of the fire, and there were no reported injuries among the firefighting crew. Tragically, the family's beloved dog lost its life in the blaze.

The house has been red-tagged due to safety concerns, barring residents from entry until further notice. Seattle Fire and Bothell Fire provided additional support during the incident, and the Red Cross is assisting those displaced. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by King County officials, highlighting the ongoing concern for residential fire safety in the community.
