The House of Wisdom, known for offering free tutoring to disadvantaged students, is set to host a community gathering that celebrates Ramadan and Nowruz on March 25, 2025, at the Edmonds Waterfront Center. The event will take place from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, inviting all community members to partake in cultural food and presentations. Ahmad Hilal Abid, the founder, stated that the gathering aims to unite the diverse community and celebrate its various cultures. Attendees will also enjoy a short film titled "Resilience," which tells the story behind the House of Wisdom's mission. Ramadan, a significant period in Islam characterized by fasting and spiritual growth, will be acknowledged alongside Nowruz, the Persian New Year and a celebration of spring recognized by UNESCO.

This dual celebration not only highlights the importance of cultural diversity but also fosters community engagement. The House of Wisdom primarily serves students who are first-generation refugees or immigrants, emphasizing the organization's commitment to education and support. This event represents a vital opportunity for community bonding and cultural appreciation, showcasing the rich traditions of both Ramadan and Nowruz.
