19 Shorecrest students participate in Future Healthcare Professionals (HOSA) competition in Spokane

Nineteen students from Shorecrest represented their school at the Washington HOSA State Leadership Conference in Spokane, competing with over 3,000 other students passionate about healthcare. The Future Healthcare Professionals (HOSA) competition provided a platform for students to showcase their skills and knowledge. Notably, Nina Vermillion and Millie Wang excelled, earning three placements in the top five across various categories. Vermillion achieved second place in Researched Persuasive Writing & Speaking, while Wang secured second in Medical Reading and third in World Health & Disparities. Their impressive performances qualify them for the International Leadership Conference in Nashville, taking place in June 2025.

This accomplishment highlights the dedication of Shorecrest students to their education and future careers in healthcare. The event also emphasizes the value of extracurricular activities in promoting essential skills among youth. The recognition of these students serves as an inspiration for their peers and the community at large.
