Nominations open for Shoreline Community Champion Awards

The City of Shoreline is calling for nominations for the 2nd Annual Community Champion Awards, aimed at recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to the local community. This initiative celebrates those who have demonstrated a commitment to fostering a better Shoreline for all, emphasizing values such as anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion. In addition to the main award, there is a Youth Community Champion Award for those aged 25 or under. Nominations can be submitted through an online form, making it accessible for everyone to participate. The awards will be presented at a banquet on August 15, coinciding with the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce’s businessperson of the year award.

Mayor Chris Roberts will announce the finalists during the State of the City event on June 12, 2025, adding anticipation to the event. This initiative not only honors outstanding individuals but also highlights the importance of volunteerism in building a strong community. Community members are encouraged to recognize those who inspire and lead through their actions, making Shoreline a welcoming place for all.
