Lake Forest Park Climate Survey

Shoreline, WALocal News

Residents of Lake Forest Park have received a postcard inviting them to participate in a Climate Impacts survey, which aims to capture their concerns and ideas regarding climate change. This survey is a critical component of the city's Climate Action Plan, finalized in 2024, which seeks to reduce emissions and build a resilient community. With a QR code provided for easy access, community members are encouraged to voice their opinions before the survey closes on April 10. The city will host an open house later this spring to facilitate further discussions on climate resilience. Following the survey, the draft climate element of the Comprehensive Plan will be submitted to the City Council, ensuring that public input is considered in decision-making.

Public hearings will also take place, allowing residents to make short statements to the Council. This proactive approach underscores the city's commitment to addressing climate impacts and fostering community engagement. Residents are urged to take action and contribute their insights to this vital initiative.
