The latest vote count indicates that the proposal to establish a Regional Fire Authority (RFA) combining the Shoreline and Lake Forest Park fire departments is passing with a significant majority of 66%. This initiative, known as Prop 1, aims to formalize the existing operational collaboration that has been in place, thus enhancing service delivery and resource management. With 12,670 ballots counted out of 67,029 registered voters, the measure received 8,403 votes in favor and 4,256 against it. The strong support from the community suggests a clear mandate for improved fire services and operational efficiency in the region.
