The Edmonds Driftwood Players are set to present a FREE First Draft staged reading of "Make Up," a compelling play by John Ruoff, on February 23 at 7 PM at the Wade James Theatre. This one-night-only event delves into the intricate and often tumultuous relationship between Royce and Helena, two actors whose lives intertwine amid the backdrop of a troubled production of "Death of a Salesman. " As they share a dressing room, their contrasting personalities lead to a rollercoaster of verbal exchanges filled with passion, ego clashes, and moments of vulnerability. The reading will showcase the acting talents of Susan Connors and Phillip Keiman, adding depth to this rich narrative. With a runtime of 90 minutes and no intermission, the event is designed to engage the audience fully.
