Eleven Shoreline schools win US News World Report honors

In 2024, eleven Shoreline schools have been honored by U. S. News for their exceptional academic performance, placing them among the top 40% of schools in Washington State. Shorecrest High School ranks #38 and Shorewood High School ranks #40 among high schools, showcasing the district's robust educational standards. The rankings are derived from a comprehensive methodology that evaluates factors such as college readiness, curriculum breadth, and proficiency test scores.

In addition to high schools, several middle and elementary schools also received commendations, with notable rankings for Kellogg and Einstein Middle Schools. The evaluation process takes into account socioeconomic contexts, ensuring that schools are recognized for their ability to educate all students effectively. U. S. News has published rankings for over 47,000 public elementary schools and 23,000 public middle schools, underscoring the extensive nature of this assessment.
