UPDATED Shoreline Fire live training

Shoreline, WALocal News

From February 18 to 21, 2025, the Shoreline Fire Department is conducting essential live fire training exercises in partnership with the North King County Training Consortium and Bothell Fire Department. The training, which is crucial for ensuring firefighter preparedness, will take place at various locations, including the 18300 Block of 1st Ave NE in Shoreline. Notably, the session scheduled for February 19 in Kenmore has been canceled, with activities resuming in Shoreline on February 20 and 21. Each day, training will occur from 9 am to 3 pm, and residents in the area are likely to notice smoke and an increase in emergency vehicle presence. This training is a critical component of maintaining the skills required for effective emergency response.

It serves as an opportunity for firefighters to refine their techniques and ensure readiness for real-life situations. Local residents are encouraged to remain cautious while navigating near the training sites. The exercises not only enhance the capabilities of the fire department but also contribute to community safety.
