Experience the vibrant spring season at Deception Pass with guided birding walks and hikes organized by AmeriCorps staff and Whidbey Audubon Society volunteers. Scheduled for February 22, March 8, and March 22, 2025, these events invite both novice and experienced birders to explore the rich avian diversity of the region. Participants will have the chance to learn about various bird species and their unique habitats, enhancing their identification skills in a supportive environment. Attendees are encouraged to bring their binoculars, although some will be available for those who need them. The walks will begin at West Beach at 10 AM, featuring a two-hour hike that promotes engagement with nature and community.
