The 3A District 1 Tournament is heating up as Shorecrest and Shorewood boys basketball teams prepare for decisive matchups on February 22. Shorecrest's journey began with a hard-fought 52-43 victory over Snohomish, but they faced a close 48-44 defeat against Monroe, which sent them to the consolation bracket. Now, they must overcome Marysville Getchell in a do-or-die game if they hope to advance to the state competition. On the other hand, Shorewood's campaign started strong with a 68-62 win against Marysville Getchell, but a significant loss to Edmonds Woodway, 67-37, has placed them in a similar position. They will face Sedro Woolley on the same day, with both teams needing a win to keep their state hopes alive.

Both games are set to take place at Marysville Pilchuck High School, intensifying the stakes for these local teams. Fans are encouraged to support their teams and can purchase tickets for the games. The outcomes of these matchups will be crucial for both Shorecrest and Shorewood as they aim for a coveted spot in the state tournament.
