The Shoreline Dollars For Scholars Program is taking 2012 applications

The Shoreline Dollars For Scholars program is now accepting applications for its 2012 scholarship awards, a vital resource for high school seniors in the Shoreline area. This initiative allows eligible students from both public and private high schools, as well as seniors from other schools living in Shoreline, to apply for funding to assist with their educational pursuits. Students can conveniently download the application from the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce website, while any questions can be addressed via phone or email. The deadline for submission is March 15, and the Dollars For Scholars Reception will take place on May 16 at Shoreline Community College, providing an opportunity to celebrate the scholarship recipients. Over the past eight years, the program has awarded more than 150 scholarships, demonstrating a strong commitment to local educational support.

In 2011 alone, the initiative granted 10 scholarships, reflecting its continued impact on the community. This program not only enhances access to education for local youth but also fosters a sense of community engagement and support. By participating in this scholarship program, students are encouraged to pursue their academic goals with financial assistance.
