Bring 25,000 to your community State Farm Neighborhood Assist

Shoreline, WALocal News

State Farm Neighborhood Assist is a crowd-sourced initiative that allows residents in the U. S. and Canada to propose projects needing funding to improve their communities. With a grant of $25,000 available, the program is designed to address unmet needs such as safety, education, and community development. Submissions are open from February 13 to March 6, and participants can submit up to three causes via a Facebook application.

The initiative not only empowers individuals but also encourages collective community engagement in identifying local issues. After the submission phase, a Youth Advisory Board will review all entries and select the top 200 based on their potential impact and clarity of purpose. Community members will then vote on these finalists from April 4 to April 22, with each user allowed ten votes per day. The winners will be announced on April 29, marking a significant opportunity for local improvement. This initiative exemplifies how corporate philanthropy can mobilize community action and foster positive change.
